2019 Abstract Information

Abstract Submission for 2019 is Now Closed

CBMTG members and non-members from all BMT-related disciplines are encouraged to submit abstract(s) for presentation at the CBMTG 2019 Annual Conference, to be held in Calgary from June 5-8, 2019. 

Abstracts are required to be submitted in one of the following categories:

  • Research: basic/translational
  • Clinical: clinical trials/observations
  • Clinical: laboratory/quality
  • Clinical: pharmacy, nursing, other transplant support

Abstracts may address evaluative studies, research-in-progress or descriptive reports, and are invited on a broad range of BMT-related topics, including basic, translational and/or clinical research and issues in clinical practice, including but not limited to team development, education, psychosocial issues and novel care delivery approaches. All abstracts will be reviewed for scientific merit using predetermined criteria and accepted abstracts will be printed in the final program that will be distributed electronically and on-site at the conference. The top abstracts in each category will be invited to present their findings at the meeting.

Please note that non-BMT related abstracts will not be invited for presentation.


Submission Instructions


Abstracts must be submitted online via the Abstract Submission Form. Abstract submission is now closed.

Abstracts will not be accepted by mail, email or fax. All abstracts must be organized and submitted following the CBMTG Abstract Submission Guidelines, available here.

There is no limit to the number of abstracts a person may submit. All abstracts must be submitted on or before March 1, 2019 at 11:59pm Pacific Time. The abstract body must not exceed 2500 characters. Your abstract must include a title, list of authors and affiliations, and content including a concise introduction, statement of the main thesis, summary and conclusion. The format for trial/study abstracts should include the following sections: objective, rationale, methodology, results and conclusions.

There is no limit to the number of abstracts a person may submit. Notice of abstract acceptance will be sent to authors on or before April 1, 2019. All abstract presenters are expected to register and attend the CBMTG 2019 Annual Conference to present the abstract(s).
